Of course, it will. Ah, the classic romance. The kind that keeps you up till 1. I love that the characters are equally matched.
Pauline never lets anyone put her down. She is always a fighter, always trying to enrich herself, and she has big dream, which she works hard to make happen.
Griffin is a typical brooding hero—he has more depth to him than everyone perceives—and watching both of them fall in love is sweet. I bought into the romance, despite the short period of time Griffin and Pauline know each other. I especially like that Pauline is not a virgin. Their encounters are hot and sexy, and I enjoyed their developing romance. I realise that having a duke marry a serving girl really would not have worked at that time, but this story made me believe that it could be done.
